Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about purchasing and using our barndominium floor plans.
What is included in a standard barndominium plan set?
Our plan sets typically include detailed floor plans, exterior elevations, foundation plans, roof framing layouts, and basic electrical schematics. Please note that structural engineering stamps for specific local codes are not included.
How will I receive my plans after purchase?
All plans are delivered digitally via a secure download link sent to your email immediately after checkout. You will receive high-resolution PDF files that can be printed at any local print shop in standard architectural sizes.
Can I make modifications to a plan I purchased?
Yes, we offer CAD file options for most designs which allow your local architect or builder to make structural changes. We also offer in-house modification services for an additional fee depending on the complexity of the request.
Do your plans meet building codes in my specific state?
Our plans are designed to meet IRC (International Residential Code) standards. However, because local codes and climate requirements (like snow loads or wind speeds) vary by county, you may need to have the plans reviewed by a local engineer.
What is your return policy for digital house plans?
Due to the digital nature of our products and the intellectual property they contain, all sales are final. We encourage you to contact our support team with any questions before completing your purchase to ensure the plan meets your needs.
Do I need a special contractor to build a barndominium?
While any licensed general contractor can build a barndominium, we recommend working with builders experienced in post-frame or steel-frame construction to ensure the best results and cost-efficiency.
